I’m a 34 year old Australian of Maltese ancestry. I was raised into Catholicism and subsequently in my teens became an atheist for approximately 7 years. At age 20 after years of studying philosophy and accepting the possibility of God’s existence I began exploring the claims and truthfulness of a wide array of religions, finally resonating with Judaism. It then became increasingly obvious that divinity and God is real —through study of Jewish theology, personal introspection and observation of reality. I have not yet converted to become a Jew by halachah (Jewish law) however I am civilly married to my beautiful Jewish wife and consider myself a welcomed part of my local Jewish community. I support the democratic State of Israel and fully support the right of the Jewish people to dwell in and retain autonomy of their historical homeland.
